When an emergency arises, it’s comforting to know that unsurpassed care is right around the corner. Nemaha County Hospital is the only hospital in Southeast Nebraska to offer in-house Advanced Trauma Life Support Certificated Physician Assistants 24/7. NCH offers 24-hour on-call physician coverage for emergency and trauma situations.
All our Nursing Staff are trained in Basic Life Support (BLS). Registered Nurses are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ALCS), and the Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC). Physician Assistants are trained in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
NCH is designated as a “Basic Level Trauma Center” as part of the Nebraska Statewide Trauma System. We are equipped with a helipad for air transport and have easy access for ground transportation.
