Wound and Ostomy Nursing
Nemaha County Hospital staffs a Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse (CWON), who is available to evaluate and treat a variety of wound and/or ostomy issues under the supervision of a physician using evidence based treatments that include: nutrition, appropriate dressing selection for wounds and management of illnesses that affect the healing. Ostomy Care includes assessment and selection of an appropriate ostomy appliance and management of skin issues to allow patients to return to their previous level of independence.

Ostomy Care includes assessment and selection of an appropriate ostomy appliance and management of skin issues to assist patients to return to their previous level of independence.
